This isn’t a Homerun Every Time Type of Business

The best hitters in Baseball still fail to make it to first base 60% of the time. Keep that in mind and continue to improve by finding those little items that will make a difference.

Happy Friday Red Rock Agents,

Already the middle of April, and the temps are in the 80’s that means Summer is just around the corner.  People will be on the move literally, some moving from here, and others moving here.

We need to make sure that our clients have a place to move to before they sell. We have had some homelessness take place, and some of it could have been prevented. It’s our duty to look out for the clients’ best interests, that includes making sure they have a place to move in to before they move out. Just keep in mind that we’re the professionals and need to take care of the people we work for.

In this turbulent market most agents are scrambling for any business they can get. That would include cutting other agents out of deals, or coercing clients to abandon the agents they are working with for some deal they will give. All the above is an ethics violation and extremely poor business. Keep in mind that it will happen to you, but that doesn’t make it right for you to do that to other agents. Now don’t think that it hasn’t happened to me because it certainly has. The best way to handle a situation like that if you’re on the side where the client wants to work with you and ditch the other agent, is to give the other agent a referral. It helps ease the pain and it’s also the right thing to do. Remember that you will be doing another deal with them in the future, and it will go better if the last deal was somewhat resolved. I know that times are tough but it’s no excuse for bad behavior. REALTORS have exceptionally long memories.

Thanks to all the agents that made the Ninja class yesterday. I’m sure you’re excited and looking forward to the main event. I have always believed that if you can gain one “Thing” from a class that will benefit your business it’s well worth it. I can assure you, that you will find more than one item from this education to elevate your business. It’s not a matter of total redesign of your business but to tweak it just a little, and it starts with a proper mindset. I’ll compare it to a professional baseball player. A player will go to bat and will fail to make it to first base 65% to 70% of the time. With one small change they can drive that percentage up and become one of the best hitters in Baseball and still fail to make it to first base 60% of the time. This isn’t a homerun every time type of business. Keep that in mind and continue to improve by finding those little items that will make a difference. I know that Ninja Selling will give you tools for success at a higher level. Ninja will teach you how to improve your relationships with your clients and I’m here to tell you it all about relationships. Think about how many times you have built a relationship with your client, while helping them make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Learn how to expand that to other people the client knows and will refer to you. It is all about relationships and the importance of that in business.

Please have a great weekend and be safe out there,
